New Printers across BU

BU has recently equipped all of its campuses with brand new, top of the range printers, provided by Xerox.

This will provide BU students with the ability to print more securely than ever before, print from a laptop or tablet device (when online) and offers better support than ever before.

The way students can purchase printer credits is also changing, with an online system now available for students to top up their balance.

Students will need to visit dhaka.bournemouth.ac.uk and log in using their student ID and password before purchasing new credit (minimum spend of £5).

Any balance that was already on a student’s print account will remain on the new system.

A link to the printing system will be made available on the Student Portal, and three physical cash loader machines will be installed shortly after the start of term.

In addition to the investment in new printers, BU has also reduced the price of printing for students. The cost for black and white printing remains 3p per sheet whilst the cost of a colour print is now 18p.

For more information on the new printing service, or to report a problem, please contact the IT Service Desk on 01202 965515.
