SUBU have secured a new feature in the Bournemouth Echo online, where they’ll be sharing the great work of BU students in the local community on a weekly basis. It’s anticipated this will also become a regular feature in the Daily Echo in the near future too. A fantastic achievement for SUBU, BU and our students – needless to say that makes us feel very #BUProud!
The team of Sabbatical Officers and Councils have also been working on:
- Improving timetabling to help students take part in clubs & societies – 10 of which have just been graded with 5 stars
- Planning Student Rep events and a second Speak Week in March
- Putting the finishing touches to plans for the GOAT (Go Out And Talk) team
- Supporting students with free refreshments as part of their ‘Keep Calm and Keep Revising’ activity
- Working with sportBU to highlight LGBTQ+ inclusivity within sports teams
- Organising for CHAIN (Contact, Help, Advice and Information Network) to visit students from HSS
- Getting ready to open up The Old Firestation during the day from 9 February.
