In view of the increased usage of electronic cigarettes across the BU Campus and the unconfirmed health effects, the University Health and Safety Committee has recommended that the No-Smoking Policy is updated to treat electronic cigarettes in the same way as tobacco cigarettes, i.e. no smoking at entrances or within 5 meters of a building.

The No-Smoking Policy has now been updated to reflect this position.
