Mental Health Week taking place at BU

The aim of Mental Health Week at BU is to encourage staff, students and the public to start talking openly about mental health issues.

Between Monday 7 and Friday 11 October 2013 there are a huge range of events taking place both on and off campus, including:

  • It’s time to talk: 3 short films about personal recovery from mental health issues
  • My own personal narrative of recovery and living with bipolar disorder
  • Tea and Talk workshops
  • Drink, Drugs and Mental Health – the Highs and the Lows
  • Eating Disorders Myths and Truths
  • Representation of mental health within the media: my own personal perspective
  • I Told You I Was Ill: Spike Milligan and the Media
  • Screening of ‘The Life and Legacy of Spike Milligan’
