Every student at BU is entitled to take an optional placement year, with many of our courses requiring completion of a compulsory 40-week placement. The importance of the preparing for the placement year and understanding the process has never been greater! BU will host its’ first Placements Conference* on Wednesday 27 November which offers you a unique opportunity to find out more about the Placements process – all in one place.

You will hear from speakers across the sector, meet BU students returning from their Placement year and attend keynote sessions from the Placements & Careers team including CV writing, interview technique and whether to take the placement year (for optional placements).

*The event is primarily focussed at Level I (second year) students, although Level C (first year) students are welcome to attend. We may prioritise session availability/attendance based on your year of study. You will be asked to confirm your attendance nearer the date and we will confirm if you have a place or are on the reserve list.
