Workshop on Forecasting with Singular Spectrum Analysis: 8 September 2014

Monday, 8 September 2014 from 09:00 to Tuesday, 9 September 2014 at 21:00 in The Executive Business Centre

About the event

LogoColorTextBelowThis workshop is dedicated to innovative approaches that use the Singular Spectrum Analysis technique to improve upon current approaches to forecasting time series with complex seasonality or other features such as structural breaks. Theoretical papers are welcome for discussion; however it is mandatory that the applicability is demonstrated using real world data. It should be noted that direction of change predictions and statistical significance of forecasts should be given consideration in all submitted papers.

The organisation of the workshop is such that the presentations and discussion will run for two days in all, comprising one and a half days dedicated to presentations and a final half day session dedicated for discussion and networking. Time will also be dedicated to presentations to showcase the available SSA software.

The International Journal of Forecasting (ABS ranked 3* Journal) has agreed to publish a Special Issue on forecasting with Singular Spectrum Analysis. The authors of the most innovative and successful papers will be invited to submit their papers to the IJF special issue.
