About the event
Midwifery practice today requires a broad and varied range of knowledge and skills. It is essential to identify educational strategies that can effectively prepare student midwives for practice, and can enable midwives to develop throughout their careers. Many midwifery educators are increasingly using new pedagogic approaches and technology to transform the ways in which learning occurs. This conference will provide an opportunity to share the evidence around implementing innovation and change in midwifery education.
The conference will include:
- Professor Stephen Hepell – New technologies and online learning
- Professor Billie Hunter – Learning from resilience research
- Kirsten Baker – Drama in midwifery education
- Presentations from midwifery educators and researchers across the UK
- Poster presentations
- Student led debate – “Online learning is the way to increase student satisfaction”
- Meet the editors – publishing education research findings
