About the event

This conference provides an opportunity for those interested in occupational science to come together to celebrate occupation, debate the theoretical underpinning of occupational science from a multi-disciplinary perspective and discuss the implications of occupational science in health and social care practice.

Hosted by Bournemouth University on 3rd and 4th September 2015, the two-day conference includes key-note speeches, parallel presentations, an exhibition and poster display, multi-professional debate and even a trip to the beach! There will be an optional gala dinner on the evening of 3rd September.

Keynotes

Sridhar VenkatapuramWe are thrilled to welcome Sridhar Venkatapuram MSc, MPhil, PhD, FRSA as the first of our keynote speakers to confirm. Sridhar is a lecturer in global health and philosophy and Director of the MSc in Global Health & Social Justice. Sridar’s research and expertise is in global/public health, human rights, ethics and philosophy. For more information regarding his work please click here

As in past Occupational Science Europe conferences, we are delighted to have a distinguished line-up of speakers, who for 2015 offer some excellent insights on Occupational Science and how occupation can influence health and wellbeing.

Key-note and plenary sessions will take place on both days of the conference, enabling discussion of a variety of perspectives of occupation and also health and wellbeing. The details of key-note speakers will be announced closer to the conference date.
