A multimedia production company set up by a Bournemouth University graduate helped create the new music video for singing sensation Joss Stone.
Lovelove Films Ltd added visual effects and did post-production work on the video for the soul singer’s next single, The High Road.
The production company, based at the Enterprise Pavilion in Poole, was set up by BA (Hons) Television Production graduate Georgina Hurcombe.
Georgina, who graduated from BU in 2006, said: “It was an amazing experience and very exciting.
“We got the video sent to us from LA and it was shot in the day, but her management wanted it to look like it was night-time, so we had to do lots of visual effects to produce what you see in the video.”
The High Road is taken from Joss Stone’s sixth studio album The Soul Sessions Volume 2, and the video received over 250,000 hits on YouTube within 72 hours.
It is set in moonlit forest, with Joss riding on the back of an elephant through the trees and playing chess with Death.
Georgina added: “It was a very tight turnaround and we managed to get finish it in nine days – we were working really long hours to get it done.”
Georgina set up Lovelove Films in 2010 and recent projects for the company include producing a 360 degree panoramic video of Olympic sailing events taking place in Weymouth.
She said: “I started the company because I felt that there was so much talent coming out of Bournemouth University and the surrounding colleges that no-one was really harnessing.
“My degree completely prepared me for being able to set up and run my own production business.”
